Lunch with Uncle Matt!

Here is Thomas and I with my brother, Uncle Matt when we were in Sarasota a few weeks ago having lunch at the Main Bar.  I think Thomas' face looks so much like Matthew but just has my blue eyes :)  Still amazing that my child looks remotely like me considering I thought the Amadori genes were so strong...

Musikgarden starts again!

Yesterday we had our first Musikgarden class of the Spring semester.  Thomas and I are actually signed up for classes on Thursday and Friday this semester as he now is at the point where he needs something to do EVERY day and errands aren't cutting it.  I only took a few pictures but the ones with Chloe are just too cute!

Whatcha doing? Silly!

Wresting Daddy's backpack!!  Silllllly boy!!

22 weeks!

How far along? 22 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 8!  eeeeeek!  So hard seeing that number go up each week now but I know that I'm going to see muuuuch higher numbers on the scale in the coming weeks.  I just haven't let go yet, deep breath :)
Stretch marks? nothing new as of late :)
Sleep: Going to bed about 9pm and waking up 1-3 times a night to use the bathroom.  I've been sleeping much better this week and have been able to go back to bed easier when I wake up to use the restroom.  THANK GOODNESS!
Best moment this week: Getting together with my Great Grandmas with Thomas
Movement: Yep!
Food cravings: Hot chocolate, ice cream, chocolate, pancakes have all been things I've been tasting this week.  I've definitely had more things that I've been, what I like to call 'tasting' compared to my pregnancy with Thomas.  I don't think that I'd call it a craving because its not like I HAVE to have it, but maybe that's what cravings are and I am just not used to it.  Funny.
Gender: Nope and this will remain a secret to all, including us through out the duration of the pregnancy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? Starting to pop out a lil'
What I miss: Being able to walk without feeling this stupid nephrostomy tube in my back.  Even though I feel so much better than what I did even a few weeks ago, and a huge improvement since when the tube was initially placed it's still hard not feeling like yourself.
What I am looking forward to: Being more pregnant...
Weekly Wisdom: Even though I feel as though I've come so far, 22 weeks is at least more than half way there but I still feel like I have so far to go.  Hoping to get over this mental hump soon.
Milestones: Hitting that point in pregnancy when you feel like you have to go pee so badly but when you go there isn't much or anything in there because the baby is just resting on your bladder.  Oh yes, another awesome side effect of pregnancy.  Even though there are so many not so fun things of pregnancy though, I LOVE being pregnant and having a cute pregnant belly.

Baby and Belly

While the two of us were sitting around lazy in our PJs Thomas found my belly button!  He is now obsessed with his belly button and will show you where it is if you ask him but also likes other people's belly buttons.  So even though I would love to say that he knows there is a baby brother or sister growing inside my belly for him, he really is just playing with my belly button.

Although its not the most flattering picture of myself, it's too cute of him not to post :)

I've been growing some teeeeef

Thomas has sprouted 3 new teeth over the past 2 weeks.  We now have 8 teeth total with 4 on top and 4 on bottom.  Here is my best attempt at getting a picture of them.  Have you ever tried to take pictures inside a 15 month old's mouth, not so easy!

I can't help but think...

HOW AM I GOING TO HANDLE 2 BABIES UNDER 2??

Lately it seems as if Thomas has been running me ragged.  I know that I have a nephrostomy tube and I'm 5 months pregnant but isn't this suppose to be the time in your pregnancy that you are suppose to have tons of energy?!  I don't need naps anymore, which is nice.  I just make an effort to put my feet up and rest while Thomas naps so that I don't push it too much because once he's up there is not much sitting around.  I just know that the further I get along in this pregnancy with baby #2 I am going to be passing out at like 8pm!  I better put some zzzz's in the bank now because on or before May 30th Momma won't be able to sleep all day with her newborn like the good old days with 1 baby.

Which makes me remember what a sucker I am and how I go back and look at Thomas' baby pictures every month or so to remind myself of how tiny he was.  Jason and I went back last night and were watching videos of him when he was so tiny.  So fun to go back and remember how perfectly small they were....

in the hospital 1.5 days old

1 week old

3 weeks old

And no matter how many pictures you take, you always wish you had taken more!!!!  Oh how I can't wait to have another little itty bitty in my arms, be it a blue or pink hat.  Those first few days are so magical and knowing first hand how fast they grow will make me appreciate the newborn phase that much more.

So even though I've been nervous about 2 under 2 I know I'll be able to handle it as many families have done it before us.  It is a little scary but also SOOO exciting to think about becoming a family of 4 :)

21 weeks!

How far along? 21 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 7 - it's beginning...the weekly weight gain, bought time it caught up to me :)
Stretch marks? nothing new as of late :)
Sleep: Going to bed about 9pm and waking up 1-3 times a night to use the bathroom.  I usually have a hard time going back to bed if I wake up around 3-4 and am awake for about an hour, it sucks!
Best moment this week: feeling the baby move through the morning, afternoon and night all in one day
Movement: Yep!
Food cravings: Lemonade, LIFE cereal, hot chocolate have all been things I've been tasting this week
Gender: Nope and this will remain a secret to all, including us through out the duration of the pregnancy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? Starting to pop out a lil'
What I miss: Feeling normal, a few days ago I definitely starting 'feeling pregnant' my lower stomach near my pubic bone is very achy all day and night
What I am looking forward to: watching the belly grow over the next 10 weeks.  I remember how amazing it was how much growth I had every week between 20-30 weeks with Thomas and I am looking forward to this again
Weekly Wisdom: rest when you can because toddlers don't rest unless they are sleeping!
Milestones: Feeling 'PREGNANT!'
WEEK 21

Update on Mommy (4 weeks w/ tube)

So after 4 weeks with this nephrostomy tube I have to say I feel much better than what I ever thought I would!  After two Dr.s appointments at the OB and Urologist this past week I have nothing but good news to report:

*The baby is growing right on track and everything looks as it should, perfect :)
*No placenta previa AT ALL!!
*Next appointment set for 24 weeks, they are treating me like a standard patient again, YAY!
*Dr. Lopez, my urologist says that I'm handling the nephrostomy tube beautifully.  He said he wishes everyone was like me as I have minimal pain, don't have to take the pain meds, little bleeding and skin around tube site looks good for all the tape that's been on it 24/7 since the tube has been placed.
*Scheduled nephrostomy tube replacement for 4 weeks from now, after having it for 8 weeks.  This is VERY exciting to me because Dr. Lopez originally told me I would have to have the tube replaced every 2-8 weeks and now he is saying definitely every 8 weeks and maybe up to 10 if everything keeps going well.  This means I might only have to have it replaced twice my whole pregnancy!  YAY!

I couldn't be happier!!

Fun at Amaya Papaya

We met some friends at an indoor play place for babies 0-3 yesterday.  Thomas had a great time and alllll he wanted to do was bounce on this bounce bicycleish thing.  Hilarious!  I had to take video...

These boots were made for walkin'

HALF WAY!! 20 weeks!!

How far along? 20 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 4
Maternity clothes? Yep, trying to find things that work with a 'smaller' pregnant belly and still concealing the tube coming out of my back, down my hip to the pee bag on my leg, HOT!
Stretch marks? nothing new as of late :)
Sleep: This week I started NOT taking afternoon naps and it has helped me sleep a lot better and harder at night.  I took a nap once for an hour and didn't sleep well at night reminding myself to fight through the afternoon dulls and I won't regret it come the pm hours.
Best moment this week: being half way!  As much as I enjoy being pregnant, having a tube hanging out of my body and a pee bag attached to my leg is not the way I want to spend the next 4.5 months so I'm thankful that I'm halfway and its allllll downhill from here
Movement: Yep!  Especially after meals and before bedtime.  This week I have noticed more movement during the day, little bugger must be getting bigger and stronger
Food cravings: avocado, lemonade (preferably flavored), water w/lemon, melted cheese
Gender: Nope and this will remain a secret to all, including us through out the duration of the pregnancy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? Starting to pop out a lil'
What I miss: The energy I used to have which I know this is only going to get worse the longer the pregnancy goes on but it's all worth it in the end!
What I am looking forward to: couldn't ask for more at this point...
Weekly Wisdom: try to savor every moment because even though some days take forever this is all going to be behind me and I'm going to miss the little baby inside me moving all around
Milestones: HALF WAY!!
20 WEEKS

20 week ultrasound comparison

hmmmm....they look different to me.  Their noses are definitely different and baby #2 has some lips!!

20 week ultrasound pics

Here are some pictures of baby Amadori #2 from our ultrasound today!  It's starting to feel more reallllll!!  And no, we do not know what we are having because we are waiting to find out the sex of the baby till his/her birthday :)

Funny side note, today the ultrasound tech said that 99.9% of the time whatever color the Mommy wears to the ultrasound screening of the sex of the baby it usually matches up with the sex of the baby they are having.  Well, funny enough I wore a peachy color today which is the SAME exact color that I wore to my 20 week ultrasound with Thomas.  I only have 2 shirts this color, the one I wore with Thomas that I recently donated to Goodwill and the one I wore today.  Even though you would think peachy pink is more of a girl color, we shall see if it means boy again for us.  20 more weeks and we'll know ;)

Daddy's Disney 1/2 marathon

Jason competed in the Disney 1/2 marathon this year with his Mom and Uncle Vinny to help them walk their 2nd and 1st races.  They did great, a 3:13 which is just over a 14 minute mile.  Here is a video of their finish and some pictures along the way:

19 weeks!

How far along? 19 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 3, catching up on fluids and calories thanks to the holiday weekend!
Maternity clothes? Yep, trying to find things that work with a 'smaller' pregnant belly and still concealing the tube coming out of my back, down my hip to the pee bag on my leg, HOT!
Stretch marks? nothing new as of late :)
Sleep: I'm taking a nap every afternoon from 30 min - 2 hours and at least 9 hours at night
Best moment this week: traveling to Sarasota for the first time to be with Family and great friends over the New Years holiday
Movement: Yep!  Especially after meals and before bedtime
Food cravings: avocado, lime gatorade, water w/lemon, melted cheese
Gender: Nope and this will remain a secret to all, including us through out the duration of the pregnancy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? Starting to pop out a lil'
What I miss: Being as active as I used to be but walking irritates my back/kidney/tube for anything longer than a mile or so.  Glad I have a bike with a baby seat so I can get out and about and feel like I'm doing something.
What I am looking forward to: my urologist apt and 20 week ultrasound on January 10th!!  1 week and counting...
Weekly Wisdom: colds and pregnancy don't mix but winter and pregnancy does
Milestones: The baby is now kicking my insides, before it seemed that it would only kick out, or those were the only kicks I could feel.  Now this baby is kicking my bladder, bowels, anything it can kick and tumble to.
WEEK 19
