Thomas Dancing!

Here is a video of Thomas dancing the other morning while he was watching his morning shows on the Disney Channel.  He loves this little show that's in between the real shows called Choo Choo Soul.  It's basically a rap show for toddlers :)

We are lucky enough to have a Grandpa who own heavy machinery!  Our little boy has something extra special to look forward to when he visits!  Driving a real life LOADER!

Lily's 1st Rice Cereal!

Here are some pictures and a video of our little lady eating her first RICE CEREAL!  It was a happy and sad day for Mommy.  It came oh so fast compared to Thomas' first time eating solid food.  I can't believe that she is already starting to eat real food but I know that once she gets it down it will be fun to experiment with making her baby food. YMMMM....

All in all she did awesome!  I was kind of hesitant to start with her thinking she wasn't ready yet but I thought why not, just give it a shot.  Well, by the end of it she was all about it.  Now almost a week later she's doing awesome with it.  We still spill about half of it as she's still learning and the cereal is still really thin but she's enjoying it so I will keep giving it to her.

Here is a video of the kids just hanging out.  A little scare here and there, Mommy gasping for air, trying to teach Thomas something, some meltdowns and smiles!  Just a day in the life of a Mommy of a 23 month old and 4 month old!

LaLa's 5!

Our poor dog.  Ever since we've had 2 kids she is lacking in the attention department.  I do pet her once the kids are down for their naps or for the night but during the day it's just hard.  She turned 5 the other day and I can't believe that she's been in our lives that long.  She's starting to get grey in her muzzle and I can tell she's slowing down some.  We love you big girl!

cake pops!

Yesterday I was brave enough to attempt to make cake pops.  I chose to try a family recipe which was a chocolate cake.  It was one of my favorite cakes growing up and is a very moist cake so I thought I'd give it a try.  The homemade icing is the best I've ever had!  With cake pops you have to mix the icing in with the cake, so I knew they would taste good but looks might be a different story.  Well they didn't turnout too bad.  The one thing that I didn't do was have them dry on a piece of styrofoam standing up instead of upside down on their sprinkles so they are little squished on top but all in all I think they turned out alright.  I'm glad that I did a trial run on these though because they are a lot more time consuming than I thought.

Trip to Rochester!

Last weekend we took a trip up to Rochester, NY to visit J's brother and his family.  Thomas had an awesome time with his cousins as usual.  We all enjoyed apple picking, burger joints and I went to a Bridal Shower.  Here are some pics of the weekend...Now if we could just get a picture of Thomas smiling and looking at the camera!  One day :)

A few weeks ago Thomas' preschool had a picnic with someone special.  Luckily for us there was no limit on the amount of special people that could join him.  Daddy joined us and we had a great time with our little man while Lily stayed home with Nana and Aunt Shirley.

Under the Weather

Thomas wasn't himself yesterday so I kept him home from school and boy am I glad I did!  Poor buddy was tired around 6pm and we were out and about so we came home and put him to bed around 7.  He passed right out, which is not normal for him as he usually goes to bed around 7:30 and doesn't fall asleep till after 8.  This morning he woke up and I could tell he had a fever along with a cough and runny nose.  So today he is a bit under the weather...poor buddy!  Here is lounging on the couch watching his shows.

Now to do my best to keep myself and Lily healthy with endless hand washing and disinfecting wipes!  Ughhhh!!!!

Since Thomas is obsessed with firetrucks these days I decided to buy him some firetruck pjs.  He loves them and I just LOVE footed pjs for kids.  I think they are soooo cute!
